As a Security Officer Patrol Services in Westlake, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a chemical/petrochemical location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while contributing to Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first culture through teamwork and integrity.

Requirements

• Possess a TSA-issued TWIC.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, spills, unauthorized access concerns, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, production areas, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor and control access to the location by verifying credentials, documenting visitor and contractor entry, and directing individuals in accordance with site requirements.
• Prepare accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and maintenance concerns to Allied Universal leadership and appropriate site contacts.
