Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a dynamic cultural institution location, where you will monitor assigned areas, perform routine patrols, remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, following post orders, and/or supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout the location, including public areas, walkways, entry points, and perimeter spaces, helping to identify unusual activity and/or maintenance concerns.
  • Monitor visitor activity and help to enforce location rules, policies, and/or access guidelines in a professional manner consistent with a public cultural setting.
  • Support crowd management during programs, gatherings, and/or special events by observing attendee behavior, reporting concerns, and providing courteous directions and assistance.
