Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and vendors by following site-specific procedures, access guidelines, and assigned security-related duties at the location.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observations through appropriate channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of galleries, exhibit areas, public spaces, entrances, and perimeter locations to help identify concerns and support site policies.
• Monitor visitor activity and assist with directing foot traffic, checking authorized access points, and addressing policy questions in a professional manner.
• Support emergency response activities and assist with documenting incidents, daily activity, and security-related observations as required by Allied Universal and/or site leadership.
