Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, guests, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions or security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials when required, and support visitor processing in accordance with site protocols and privacy-minded workplace expectations.
  • Support day-to-day operations by reporting maintenance issues, policy violations, and/or suspicious activity, while maintaining a professional presence in fast-paced indoor and outdoor working environments.
