As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support patients, visitors, and staff with exceptional customer service. You will communicate clearly, respond professionally to concerns, and contribute to a welcoming environment. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established healthcare location protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of hospital buildings, parking areas, entrances, and surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor access points and assist with visitor management, directions, and access-control procedures in accordance with site-specific requirements.
  • Document incidents, observations, and patrol activity accurately and promptly, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and designated site personnel.
