As a Security Officer Patrol Response in East Syracuse, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy manufacturing and industrial location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and support access awareness with strong customer service and communication. Requirements

A New York State Security Guard License is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control and badge experience is preferred.
CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out assigned security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout production areas, warehouses, loading docks, parking areas, and perimeter points to help identify unusual activity and/or site policy concerns.
Monitor access points, verify credentials and/or visitor information, and help support authorized entry and exit activity in accordance with site requirements.
Communicate with employees, visitors, contractors, and/or drivers in a professional manner while helping to address questions, direct traffic flow, and report maintenance or security-related issues.
