Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a cultural institution setting.
Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout galleries, public spaces, entrances, exits, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity and/or maintenance concerns.
Monitor access points, screen deliveries and/or contractor entry as directed, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted or staff-only areas.
Support the protection of artwork, exhibits, and property by reporting suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or environmental issues that could impact the location.
