Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a utilities location.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility buildings, operational areas, parking areas, access points, and perimeter boundaries to help to deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access points and verify authorization for employees, contractors, vendors, and visitors in accordance with site procedures.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
Document patrols, observations, incidents, and security-related activities through required reports and logs.
