Join Allied Universal as a Security Officer at a residential location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this unarmed patrol role, you will support residents and staff with a caring, people-first approach while working as part of a reliable team that values agility, innovation, and integrity every day.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and/or staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related activities, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating observations to property management and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout residential buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and/or potential hazards.
  • Monitor entry points, visitor activity, and resident concerns while helping to support community rules, property policies, and other security-related procedures.
  • Prepare clear reports on incidents, maintenance concerns, policy violations, and/or suspicious activity, and help to deter unauthorized access through visible presence and routine observation.
