Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or vendors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through the proper channels and documenting security-related activity.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, loading zones, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and help to verify entry authorization for employees, contractors, and/or guests in accordance with site protocols and visitor management procedures.
  • Support day-to-day operations by reporting hazards, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations, and by communicating clearly with site contacts, coworkers, and public emergency responders.
