Requirements

  • At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and/or property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and reporting concerns through proper channels.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout residential buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter access points to help to deter unwanted activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and resident amenity areas, assisting with access control practices and observing for unusual activity, unauthorized persons, and/or property-related issues.
  • Support residential operations by communicating professionally with residents and visitors, providing directions or assistance as needed, and reporting maintenance, lighting, and/or security-related observations.
