As a Security Officer Patrol Observer in Buffalo, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support employees and visitors through strong customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Ability to pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Ability to meet licensing requirements subject to state and/or local laws and regulations prior to employment.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license (for driving positions).

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to all visitors, contractors, and site personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, spills, access concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, production-adjacent areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity, unauthorized access, and/or conditions that may require follow-up.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor documentation, and follow site access protocols for employees, vendors, and contractors.
  • Complete required logs, incident reports, and shift activity reports, and communicate clearly with site personnel regarding security-related concerns, policy questions, and/or developing situations.
