About The Position

As a Security Officer Patrol Monitor in Columbus, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a fast-paced public transit location. In this role, you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and assist riders, visitors, and staff with professional communication and customer service. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at transit-related locations.
  • Respond to incidents, service calls, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, while documenting observations and reporting concerns through proper channels.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of transit centers, platforms, parking areas, administrative buildings, and/or perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Monitor entrances, waiting areas, and/or public access points, offering directions and assistance to riders, visitors, and staff while supporting post orders and access protocols.
  • Observe conditions across the location and communicate maintenance concerns, suspicious activity, and/or policy violations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
