Conduct routine patrols, monitor assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and communicate concerns promptly. Provide exceptional customer service while supporting access procedures and site operations. Requirements

  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, vendors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at a manufacturing and industrial location.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of fabrication areas, repair facilities, storage areas, yards, access points, and the site perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials and/or authorization, and document visitor, contractor, and vehicle activity in accordance with site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and contact Allied Universal supervisors and/or emergency personnel as appropriate.
  • Observe and report security-related concerns, suspicious activity, property damage, and policy violations, and complete accurate incident and patrol reports.
