About The Position

As a Security Officer Patrol Hospital Rounds in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support patients, visitors, and staff with exceptional customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience are preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare location, including entrances, hallways, parking areas, and perimeter points, to help to identify unusual activity and/or potential concerns.
  • Monitor access points and assist with visitor screening, directional support, and policy compliance while maintaining a professional presence in a medical environment.
  • Support emergency and after-hours protocols by reporting hazards, assisting with crowd management, and helping to coordinate response efforts during medical and/or facility-related events.
