As a Security Officer Patrol Guardian in San Jose, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Security Officer at a residential location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help discourage security-related incidents, and support residents and guests with exceptional customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and/or property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and reporting issues through appropriate channels.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the residential location, including common areas, building exteriors, parking areas, and perimeter access points.
  • Monitor entry and exit activity, observe for unusual behavior or unauthorized access, and help to deter policy violations and/or property-related concerns through visible presence.
  • Support access control and community rules by verifying visitor information when needed, providing directions, and communicating professionally with residents, vendors, and/or delivery personnel.
