As a Security Officer Patrol Guardian in Forest Park, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions, and more. Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and congregants by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control activities, and appropriate emergency response support at a cultural institution location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, gathering spaces, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entrances, assist with directing foot and vehicle traffic during services and special events, and help to support an orderly environment during high-traffic periods.
• Communicate with guests and staff in a professional manner while following post orders, visitor protocols, and other site-specific security-related policies.
