About The Position

As a Security Officer Patrol Guard in Suffolk, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, shoppers, and/or store personnel by following site-specific procedures, access guidelines, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and reporting concerns to site leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the sales floor, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and support security-related protocols.
• Monitor assigned areas for policy violations, hazards, and/or suspicious behavior, and communicate observations to the appropriate contacts for follow-up.
• Assist with access control, opening and closing activities, and customer assistance at the location while maintaining a professional presence and supporting security-related operations.
