About The Position

As a Security Officer for Patrol Duty in West Des Moines, IA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Requirements

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Have customer service experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related protocols, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a financial institution location.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the banking location, entrances, lobbies, office areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify conditions needing attention.
• Monitor visitor, employee, and/or vendor activity in accordance with site policies, assisting with entry procedures, directional support, and security-related information as needed.
• Support closing, opening, and after-hours security-related procedures as assigned, while maintaining visible presence and professional interaction with staff, visitors, and/or contractors.
