Job Description As a Security Officer - Patrol Driver in San Diego, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a residential community, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents, respond to calls for service, and support residents with professional customer care and clear communication. This is a driving post, so you will use a patrol vehicle to cover the property and document activity using site technology. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting concerns to site leadership and/or emergency services as directed by post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of residential buildings, common areas, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Monitor access points and community activity to help to deter unauthorized entry, loitering, and/or other policy violations; provide directions and assistance as needed.
  • Complete detailed documentation such as patrol logs, incident reports, and maintenance-related observations, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervision and/or property management.
