About The Position

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Vehicle Patrol Driver in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal at a manufacturing and industrial location as an unarmed patrol officer supporting daily operations. You will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, assist with access control, and report concerns with clear communication and strong customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. Bring integrity and teamwork to a caring, agile, reliable, and innovative team.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, contractors, and employees by following site-specific procedures, access requirements, and emergency response activities at an industrial location.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, warehouses, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or hazardous conditions.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and other facility systems as assigned, and document observations, unusual activity, and maintenance issues per post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications to site contacts, Allied Universal leadership, and emergency services as needed.
  • Complete detailed reports, activity logs, and shift handoffs, and support shipping and receiving traffic flow through visitor check-in, badge verification, and vehicle screening as assigned.
