As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Driver in BRANCHBURG, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a dynamic tech and telecommunications location, where you will conduct routine driving and foot patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service. Requirements

  • At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and vendors by following site-specific security-related procedures, access protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing details with site contacts and/or local responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including offices, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter points, to help identify unusual activity and/or maintenance concerns.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify visitor and contractor access as directed, and support badge and credential checks in line with site policies.
  • Complete routine reports and communicate clearly with supervisors and/or client representatives regarding incidents, policy questions, and daily activity at the location.
