As a Driving Patrol Officer in a utilities location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support daily operations through strong customer service and communication. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a utility location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and unusual situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify potential hazards or maintenance concerns.
  • Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or visitor access as directed by site policies, and report suspicious behavior, damaged equipment, or policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
  • Support daily operations by maintaining detailed activity logs, completing required reports, and following post orders related to restricted areas, vehicle traffic, and after-hours access.
