As a Security Officer Patrol Driver Associate in Manassas, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence and strong customer service. This is a driving post. Working with an agile, reliable, and innovative team, you will put people first, communicate clearly, and act with integrity each day.

Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, staff, and visitors by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, office areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity, unsecured access points, and other security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help support authorized access, visitor processing, and adherence to location rules and reporting procedures.
  • Assist with observing equipment rooms, loading areas, and other sensitive spaces common to a telecom and/or infrastructure environment, reporting maintenance, operational, and security-related issues to the appropriate personnel.
