As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a retail location, you will conduct routine patrols across the property, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and provide friendly customer service while communicating clearly with staff and visitors. This is a driving post requiring a valid drivers license under AU Driver Policy Requirements, supporting mobile patrol coverage and quick response. You will bring integrity and teamwork to every shift in our caring, agile culture.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to guests and staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout retail sales floors, common areas, back-of-house spaces, parking areas, and along the perimeter to help to deter theft, vandalism, and other unwanted activity.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help maintain orderly conduct, observe for suspicious behavior, and support loss prevention and store leadership as directed by post orders.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with disturbances, medical situations, alarms, and evacuation directions when required.
• Document observations, patrol activity, and incident details in reports and logs, and communicate timely updates to supervisors, site contacts, and/or emergency responders.
