As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a retail location, you will conduct routine patrols across the property, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and provide friendly customer service while communicating clearly with staff and visitors. This is a driving post requiring a valid drivers license under AU Driver Policy Requirements, supporting mobile patrol coverage and quick response. You will bring integrity and teamwork to every shift in our caring, agile culture.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
A guard card/license is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to guests and staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout retail sales floors, common areas, back-of-house spaces, parking areas, and along the perimeter to help to deter theft, vandalism, and other unwanted activity.
Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help maintain orderly conduct, observe for suspicious behavior, and support loss prevention and store leadership as directed by post orders.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with disturbances, medical situations, alarms, and evacuation directions when required.
Document observations, patrol activity, and incident details in reports and logs, and communicate timely updates to supervisors, site contacts, and/or emergency responders.
