Job Description As a Security Officer - Patrol Driver Rounds in BROOKLYN, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, perform routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license, supporting vehicle patrols and rapid response when needed. You will deliver clear communication and customer service while working with a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, and always acts with integrity.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • A minimum of 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, contractors, and visitors by following Allied Universal post orders, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and assist with visitor management activities such as verifying identification, directing authorized personnel, and reporting access concerns per site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting hazards, disturbances, alarms, and/or suspicious activity to the appropriate parties.
  • Document observations, patrol findings, and incidents in written reports and/or electronic logs, and communicate updates to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision as required.
