As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a high-traffic retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents. This is a driving post, so you will use a vehicle to complete patrol coverage and respond to calls for assistance. You will deliver strong customer service, clear communication, and teamwork while acting with integrity in support of Allied Universal’s caring culture.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to guests and associates by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail sales floor, common areas, receiving areas, and exterior perimeter to help to identify and report suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disputes, disorderly behavior, medical calls, and/or property concerns, and coordinate with onsite leadership and local authorities as needed.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help to reduce loss, support queue management, and provide a visible presence while maintaining a professional demeanor.
• Complete detailed reports on incidents, observations, and patrol activities, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
