About The Position

As a Security Officer - Driver Patrol Rounds in Columbus, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer in a dynamic location where you will help monitor assigned areas through routine vehicle and foot patrols. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver’s license per AU Driver Policy requirements. You will stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, document observations, respond to calls for service, and deliver customer-focused communication with professionalism, integrity, and teamwork.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the location, including interior and exterior areas, parking areas, and perimeter points, as required by post orders.
• Monitor access points and observe for unusual activity, helping to deter unauthorized entry and/or policy violations, and document observations per site requirements.
• Complete routine documentation such as activity logs and incident reports, and communicate relevant information during shift change as needed.
