As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location, you will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, assist customers and/or associates, and communicate clearly with management and law enforcement as needed. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license and adherence to Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors and associates by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a retail location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout sales floors, entrances, loading areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter theft, loitering, and/or other unwanted activity.
  • Monitor cameras and in-person activity for unusual behavior, policy violations, and/or potential hazards, and communicate observations to site leadership and/or law enforcement as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disputes, suspected theft, medical situations, and/or property damage.
  • Complete shift logs and incident reports, and assist with access control tasks such as checking deliveries, monitoring restricted areas, and/or guiding emergency responders to the correct location.
