As a Security Officer - Patrol Driver - Retail in Harlingen, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will actively monitor and patrol retail and mall locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and foster a welcoming environment for all visitors. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols on foot and by bike, remaining highly visible, and providing outstanding customer service. This post requires driving as part of your duties, so a valid driver's license is necessary. Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age.
Must have 1 or more years of security-related, armed security, law enforcement, or military experience.
A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Must possess a Level III Armed Certification if working in Texas.
Must be able to ride a bike.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies while responding appropriately to emergency situations as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to help maintain order within the retail location.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the premises and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unwanted activities and promote a secure environment.
Observe and report any suspicious activities, hazards, or security-related incidents encountered during patrol duties in and around the retail environment.
Work collaboratively with store personnel and/or visitors to address concerns and provide assistance as required.
Adhere to all Allied Universal and site-specific protocols and procedures while carrying out assigned duties.
