Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
• The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, guests, and staff by carrying out Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail center location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with crowd issues, disturbances, lost children, and medical calls until help arrives.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of common areas, parking structures, loading areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or policy violations.
• Monitor access points and key areas, greet and screen visitors as required, and coordinate with property management and local authorities when issues require additional support.
• Complete detailed reports and logs of patrol activity, incidents, and follow-up actions, and communicate updates to site leadership during shift turnovers.
