As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail center, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible, and respond to security-related concerns while providing outstanding customer service. You will help manage access points, document activity, and communicate clearly with team members and property contacts. This is a driving post requiring a valid drivers license under Allied Universal driver policy requirements, supported by a caring, agile, and integrity-driven culture. Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
Handcuffing certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
Pepper spray certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to guests, tenants, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail center location.
Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout common areas, parking lots, loading areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance and policy concerns.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical calls, disturbances, and alarms, and coordinate with site contacts and public responders as needed.
Monitor and help manage access points, after-hours entries, and key control activities per site procedures, and assist with crowd and traffic flow during peak periods and special events.
Document patrol activity, incidents, and observations in written reports and/or electronic systems, and communicate status updates to leadership and site personnel.
