Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
A guard card and/or license is preferred.
Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
Being comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to tenants, guests, and staff by carrying out Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail center location.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with crowd issues, disturbances, lost children, and medical calls until help arrives.
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of common areas, parking structures, loading areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or policy violations.
Monitor access points and key areas, greet and screen visitors as required, and coordinate with property management and local authorities when issues require additional support.
Complete detailed reports and logs of patrol activity, incidents, and follow-up actions, and communicate updates to site leadership during shift turnovers.
