As an unarmed, driving Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a busy retail center, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, respond to calls for assistance, and support access control. You will be a friendly, reliable presence for shoppers, tenants, and staff, using strong communication and teamwork while acting with integrity in every interaction. Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to guests, tenants, and staff by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail center location.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols of common areas, storefront corridors, loading areas, and parking lots to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance and/or security-related concerns.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and requests for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site management and local responders as needed.
- Monitor CCTV and/or other monitoring systems, observe for unusual activity, and document findings according to post orders.
- Complete detailed activity and incident reports, including observations, actions taken, and follow-up notifications to site leadership.
