About The Position

As a Security Officer Patrol Driver Lead in Jamaica, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government transportation location, you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment through strong customer service and communication. This is a driving post, offering the opportunity to stay active while serving the public with agility, reliability, teamwork, and integrity.

Requirements

• Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and/or personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government transit location.
• Respond to incidents, service calls, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or public agencies as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of transit facilities, bus staging areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity, access issues, and/or policy violations.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and public-facing areas to help control access, assist with directions, and report maintenance concerns, suspicious behavior, and/or unattended items through proper channels.
• Support daily operations by preparing reports, recording incidents, and following post orders related to public interaction, traffic flow, and/or security-related activity at the location.
