As a Security Officer Patrol Driver Credential Verification in Herndon, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a dynamic technology location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, support access control activities, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal Driver Policy requirements. You will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication while contributing to a caring, reliable, and integrity-driven team.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a corporate technology location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office areas, entrances, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy concerns.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required, and help maintain orderly entry and exit processes.
  • Prepare clear, accurate activity and incident reports and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.
