As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents while delivering great customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license under AU Driver Policy requirements. Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

- Pepper Spray Certification is preferred.
- Ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to shoppers, tenants, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout the retail property, including common areas, entrances, loading areas, and perimeter routes, to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical calls, disturbances, lost children reports, and/or suspicious behavior, and request additional assistance when needed.
- Monitor and document security-related activity using CCTV and/or other systems as assigned, complete routine reports, and promptly communicate concerns to site leadership and/or local responders.
- Support property operations by assisting with access control, after-hours checks of doors and gates, crowd and line management during peak periods, and coordination with tenant staff during special events.
