About The Position

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
CPR certification is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, healthcare facility policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents, medical-related emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the healthcare facility, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to help identify and report security-related concerns.
Monitor access points and observe visitor, staff, and vendor activity in accordance with site-specific access-control procedures.
Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and/or emergency responders.
