As an Allied Universal Security Officer in a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a professional environment through strong communication and customer service. Requirements

  • At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by following site-specific procedures and supporting access control at a technology and communications location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting activity and communicating with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout office areas, common spaces, parking areas, and/or the exterior perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other designated areas for unusual activity, while assisting with visitor processing, badge verification, and other security-related post duties.
  • Support emergency response activities by following post orders, assisting with evacuations and/or restricted access, and reporting maintenance, lighting, or property concerns that could impact the location.
