About The Position

As a Security Officer Patrol Detail in Columbus, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer at a dynamic aerospace and defense location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this role, you will support daily operations with professionalism, teamwork, and integrity while contributing to a caring, agile, reliable, and innovative culture.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience is required.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, production areas, parking areas, and perimeter points to help identify and report suspicious activity, access concerns, and/or facility issues.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorization, and help support access control practices within a regulated aerospace and defense location.
  • Observe and report conditions that could impact daily operations, assist with preliminary incident information gathering, and follow Allied Universal protocols for escalations and/or notifications.
