About The Position

Requirements

• Possess 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience, or a college degree.
• Possess 1 or more years of security-related experience.
• Be 21 or more years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document observations, actions taken, and relevant details for follow-up.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and public areas, verify access permissions when required, and report unusual activity, maintenance issues, and/or policy violations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Support day-to-day operations by assisting with crowd management, directing foot traffic, and providing clear information during routine activities and/or unexpected events.
