Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• The ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate for an educational campus environment.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting observations and reporting concerns to the appropriate contacts.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout campus buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations, as working environments and conditions may vary by assignment.
• Monitor access points and activity across the location to help to deter unauthorized entry, policy violations, and/or suspicious behavior.
• Assist students, staff, visitors, and/or faculty with directions, information, and general support while maintaining awareness of security-related concerns.
