About The Position

As a Security Officer Patrol Coverage in North Kansas City, MO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to all persons at the location by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, exterior grounds, and perimeter, paying close attention to access points, restricted areas, and unusual conditions common to an industrial chemical location.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or visitor authorizations as directed by site procedures, and help to deter unauthorized access to the location.
• Support emergency and evacuation-related protocols, assist with traffic and pedestrian control as needed, and communicate clearly with employees, contractors, visitors, and/or first responders during routine and unusual events.
