About The Position

As a Security Officer Patrol Coverage in Rochester, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Requirements

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout offices, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify unusual activity and/or potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site protocols, helping to support authorized entry and a professional environment.
• Report maintenance issues, hazards, and/or suspicious activity observed during patrols so the appropriate site representatives can be notified.
