As a Security Officer Patrol Control Specialist in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a prestigious financial institution location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support access activity throughout the site. Requirements

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate for a financial services location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the office, lobby, common areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials as required by site policy, and assist with visitor and employee entry procedures while maintaining a professional presence.
• Support daily operations by communicating clearly with employees, visitors, and first responders, and by completing incident reports, activity logs, and other required documentation.
