About The Position

As a Security Officer Patrol Specialist in Westlake, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help discourage incidents, and support access activities with strong customer service and communication. In this role, you will contribute to a caring, agile, and reliable team that puts people first while handling important security-related responsibilities with integrity and teamwork.

Requirements

  • A TSA issued TWIC is required.
  • The client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • A state, county, and/or city issued security professional license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual conditions in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report security-related concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout production-adjacent areas, administrative spaces, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify potential hazards or policy violations.
  • Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials where required, and document daily events, observations, and/or incident details in accordance with post orders and client guidelines.
  • Support emergency and evacuation procedures, communicate clearly with personnel during critical situations, and assist first responders and/or site leadership as directed.
