As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Computer Reporting in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, monitor access points, and assist visitors and employees with professionalism. You will support access control and badge processes, document observations, and communicate clearly while delivering exceptional customer service. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at government facilities.
  • Respond to incidents, public concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of government buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access points and observe visitor activity, reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
  • Prepare accurate incident reports and communicate relevant observations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
