About The Position

As a Security Officer Patrol Compliance in Buffalo, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer in an educational setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate professionally, and report concerns while reflecting Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, caring, team-focused, and integrity-driven values.

Requirements

At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or policy concerns.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
Monitor access points and assist with visitor directions, campus information, and entry procedures in accordance with site requirements.
Document patrol activities, incidents, and observations through clear and timely reports, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervision and campus representatives.
