About The Position

As a Security Officer Patrol Client Services in Salt Lake City, UT, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a secure environment for employees, visitors, and operations. You will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication while using your preferred computer, tablet, and X-ray screening experience. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
X-ray screening experience is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and/or delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, parking areas, loading docks, trailer yards, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
Monitor access points, verify credentials as required, and document visitor, contractor, and vehicle activity in accordance with site policies.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and completing required reports.
Observe package-handling and transportation areas for security-related concerns and communicate findings to site leadership and/or emergency responders as appropriate.
